It’s All About Curb Appeal

It’s All About Curb Appeal

If you are putting your home on the market, having curb appeal can help to generate interest in your property. Here is a step by step guide to creating curb appeal without spending a fortune.

Ask a friend The first step to creating curb appeal is to highlight the areas that need to be improved. Go outside and look at your home from a property buyer’s perspective. You will be used to the minor flaws that can be found in your property’s exterior and so it is advisable to ask for a friend’s advice.

Artificial turf If you do not have time to tend to your lawns, the chances are it will look less than perfect. If you want to create an illusion of natural grass landscape minus the maintenance, fake grass lawns can provide a solution. There are a number of different options available that cater to different budgets. You can create a picture perfect lawn at speed with the help of a fake grass lawns specialist.

Blitz the driveway One option for homeowners looking to enhance their home is pressure washing. You may pull in and out of your driveway at least once or twice a day and as a result it will become dirty and dull. Having your driveway cleaned is one of the simplest ways to breathe new life into your old concrete.

Create symmetry An easy way to make your home more attractive in a small space of time is to make any outdoor features symmetrical. For example if you are going to put a light outside, make sure you put one on either side of the front door. This goes for anything that you use to enhance your exterior including hanging baskets and flower pots.

Flowers If your front yard is devoid of any flowers, it can look a little dreary. Your front door is the focal point of your home and this is the first thing that will catch the property buyer’s attention when he first sees your home. Placing clusters of flower pots at either side of the front door or investing in a few hanging baskets can make your home feel welcoming.

Lighting Adding outdoor lighting to your home will not only add to the appeal but it will make the property buyer feel secure.

Out with the old House numbers that are old and worn can have a negative effect on the overall appearance of your exterior and should be removed and replaced with new ones. A new mail box or house number can modernize your home in record time.

Replace the gutter If the gutter is in need of repair or simply looks dingy this will have an effect on the overall look of your home. Throw the welcome mat out-Once you have attended to the areas that need to be repaired or replaced; it is time to add the finishing touches. Having a welcome mat outside your front door can allow you to add a personal touch to your home and give your guests a proper welcome.

Nice tips. Your lawn is the first thing a prospective buyer sees so ensure it is in tip top condition if you aren’t going down the artificial route with a quick fire lawn care cycle of scarifying, aerating and feeding a month or two before selling.

I do agree with these tips. As we know that First impression is the last impression so if your house looks good from outside then more people will take interest in buying it.

Create symmetry and flowers besides cleaning porch or drivway are something everyone should do. If house looks old or dirty most people will not even stop to look at it. Some tv shows have some greta ideas for cheap ways to improve curb appeal anyone can do.
