Articles Requirements
- Word Count: We typically require that writings over 500 words depending on the topic and image content. This is a flexible limitation.
- Outbound Links: We allow up to two outbound links in every article that you write to any page you like using any keywords you like.
- Images: We require every article to be accompanied by a wide format featured image no smaller than 530 pixels wide and 220 pixels high. Your articles can contain as many inline images as you’d like formatted how you like using the WordPress media management features.
Author Profiles
You’ll have access to your WordPress contributor profile which will allow you to add a short blurb about yourself, your company, or your product. You’ll also be able to accompany that blurb with a link and custom anchor text to your website, and your social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Your profile will be linked to from every article you write for us. (example). Best of all, the links in your profile are DoFollow links, which brings us to our next point.
Spreading the Link Love
No participation should go unrewarded, which is why the Better Home Blog is proudly apart of the DoFollow Blog Movement. Although all of our comments are moderated by our site editors, we do allow readers to post their comments along side a link to their website with the rel="nofollow" removed.
Also included in the package is the KeywordLuv plugin to allow readers to select the anchor text of their link. While we are selective about the comments we do allow on our site as to not dilute your article’s links, we feel this addition should encourage healthy readership and participation.
