Making the Most of your En-Suite Bathroom

Making the Most of your En-Suite Bathroom

Having your very own en-suite bathroom is a true luxury; the convenience of having a toilet, bath, sink or shower within the confines of your own bedroom is a huge convenience. It’s no secret however, that these rooms are commonly fairly small and can often be difficult to renovate or redecorate effectively. As with most small spaces in the home, there are some great ways to create a stylish and efficient room out of the smallest of areas; so let’s take a look at a few ideas that could help you create a modern and envious en-suite bathroom that can give you a fantastic start to the day!

Use the Space you have effectively

En-suite bathrooms are commonly quite small, and therefore it’s best to consider this when adding features of any size. If you are looking to fit a new shower enclosure then be sure to measure the room before buying; if the enclosure were to be too big you may find it takes up too much space or does not fit in altogether. Quadrant shower enclosures can be great for small en-suite bathrooms as their corner-fitting design ensures they will sit nicely in the corner without invading too much of your free space. Toilets and sinks can also be bought to fit corners nicely, so mix and match these features if you are looking to save as much space as possible.

Small rooms such as these can easily appear cluttered by leaving too many bottles and grooming products lying around; restrict the amount of soaps, shampoo bottles and other bathroom items that you leave in this secondary bathroom by keeping the majority of them in your primary bathroom.

Create a Stylish Room

Taking a shower or wash in a stylish and modern bathroom is a fantastic way to relax and feel satisfied with the appearance of your home; if you are taking the time to remodel your en-suite bathroom, be sure to take this opportunity to add modern and contemporary features that bring heaps of style to the room.

Darker colours and tones applied in bathroom suites can look fantastic and certainly create a modern look; black and grey granite tiles can be hugely effective when added to the floor and walls, especially when broken up with a secondary colour. Adding features such as towels, washcloths, plant pots and candles is a great way to add dashes of your chosen secondary colour; be sure to buy them in matching tones and consider how they match up with your primary colour before committing.

So there we have a few simple tips to help you turn your en-suite bathroom into a modern, spacious and luxurious getaway!

One of my plans when I finally have a home of my own is to have a really beautiful and stylish and huge bathroom. :) An en suite bathroom would be a really good idea. :)

Ensuites are so overlooked. People spend most of their waking up and pre-bed time in them yet they can be the last room to be done.

Personally I can’t wait to do up my ensuite!

Since we’ve re-done our en suite I rarely even use our main bathroom anymore! We’ve gone for dark colours as you say, but with lime green towels/accessories. It looks really striking. You can completely revamp the whole look of the room as well by just changing the colour of the towels every so often. I think we’ll go for a sea blue colour next.
