De-Cluttering Tips for Every Room

If you are tired of living in a messy home, here are a few ways to de-clutter every room with multifunctional storage solutions.

If you live in a small home, it can be difficult to find a place for all of your belongings. Here are a few key pieces of furniture that make storage simple.

Living room: For many people, the living room is the place that they spend most of their time and as a result, it is often overcrowded. If you like to invest in the latest technology, you will no doubt own at least one of the following; a television, a digital box, a games console or a DVD player. If you own a few of these items, it is easy for your living area to look messy especially with all of the wires and remote controls and console controls. If you own a standard television stand, you may have a place for the technology but not the accessories that come with them. There are now superior storage solutions that can store all of your remote controls, DVD’s, CD’s, games and console controls in one place. Investing in stunning oak TV cabinets can provide a solution to this problem and ensure that all of these items are not on show.

Bedroom: The downside to living in a small apartment is the lack of storage space that they offer. If you do not have enough room in your wardrobe to store bedding and towels, invest in a piece of furniture that not only enhances your bedroom but also offers maximum storage capacity. The best type of storage for this particular purpose is a linen box that is designed to go at the end of your bed. Linen boxes are usually the width of your bed and are available in a plethora of colors and materials.

Bathroom: If your bathroom space is cluttered due to various bottles and jars, invest in a statement piece of furniture that not only offers adequate storage but also provides a surface to place candles or bathroom accessories. Towel rails are another bathroom essential that will not only keep your towels warm but also provide a place to stack them when they are not in use.

Kitchen: A kitchen should be a functional space that makes cooking your favorite meals a breeze. If your kitchen is cluttered with utensils and cooking equipment that you have acquired over time, it is time to invest in a few storage solutions that will eliminate clutter from every surface. Kitchen hooks, stacking containers and drawer dividers are just a few of the storage essentials that you could use.
